Asphalt Systems

Modified Bitumen and Built-Up Roofing uses asphalt as an underlying substrate. While still common, Division 7 has discontinued installation of new asphalt based systems because of the safety risks to people, property and the environment during installation. Repair of existing asphalt based systems, including shingles, are still performed. For larger renovations, Division 7 offers a variety of warrantable techniques to tie-in existing asphalt roofs with alternative roofing substrates.
